JOHN LAW

This horse's mouth I had the good pleasure of talking to none other than John Law, John a family man is the co-founder of Quiksilver, this chat John talks about growing up from humble beginnings, the things and people that influenced him, competitive skateboarding in the '60s, Surfing the bay, and then exploring further afield. 
John while hanging and surfing in Torquay in those early days made friends, that would inevitably change his life and shape the future of surfing and the industry worldwide.

MALLACOOTA RIK

Mallacoota Rik is from Mallacoota - he is a serious jack of all trades, Diver, Plumber, Chippy, Captain, surfer, Relic hunter / Smuggler, tour guide, Rik is the quintessential Australian she'll be right mate have a crack loveable rogue. A dying breed as Australian society gets more and more gentrified by the minute.
Rik has lived more lives than most, he's got more far-flung adventures and experiences than one can jam in a podcast, there is a book in him I've no doubt.

BOZ PARSONS

Boz Parsons was born in 1918, a natural lover of people, places and things and being an adventurer quickly saw Boz to a life in the skies, a seemingly natural born aviator he fought in world war ii, this chat he talks through his experiences through the war to first meeting his wife Barbara. I only just re-found this audio file after losing it in a shift of multimedia platforms a few years ago  - I've re mastered and happy to re-release as we chatted about six years ago when Boz was 96, today Boz is 102 not out. JOY CLARKE

Joy Clarke is a salt of the earth, kind hearted soul with a hell of a story, She was one of many that witnessed the Westall UFO encounter that happened on 6 April 1966 in Melbourne,It all happened around 11:00 am, for about 20 minutes, more than 200 students and teachers at two Victorian state schools and other businesses witnessed more than one UFO flying and landing in a bush area nearby known as the grange. Only to be silenced by military and men in black..... She took me to the Grange park and showed me where they landed and to her school to talk me through the day that is deeply burned into her mind and hundreds of other Melbournians on that Autumn day.

SIMON MULVANY

This time I had the good fortune of chatting to Simon Mulvany, Simon has a website www.beethecure.com for Save the bees which he started to help relocate bees rather than people exterminate them - it's been a wild ride for Simon from relocation to seeing the Australian bee industry being robbed to a battle with a honey giant that tied him up for five years and went to the Supreme court, Simons life is like a movie script at times - Connected with nature and a strong sense of a higher order guiding him to make a difference for the better, this chat I really enjoyed 

BRAD GERLACH

So stoked to have had Gerr in the Captain's Chair, if you told me in high school I'd be getting to interview Brad Gerlach one day I would have said you've been smoking weed without me haven't you, you little bug eyed hoover ....If you're into surfing you probably know who Brad is but if you don't I'll help paint a picture, Hailing from the USA in 1986 he rocketed to be the no.1  rated surfer in the world at age 20. In 1991 he finished second in the world on the ASP World tour. RAY WILSON

Ray Wilson is surfing royalty and all round good guy, having grown up on the Esplanade in Torquay, Ray has witnessed so many great events that have come to be legend in the surfing world. He was on the beach in 1956 when 30 thousand people descended from melbourne during the olympic games to witness a surf demonstration in which the Americas would change Ray's life and the direction of surfing in Victoria and Australia forever. Ray was the first Victorian surfing Champion and surfed in the first world titles in Sydney in the 1960's. He's lived a large but humble life full of adventure and close calls -  I loved having Ray round for a coffee and a chat - I hope you enjoy 
 
 
 

DARREN 'DAZZLING' WILCOCK

Darren Dazzling Wilcock is one of those rare humans who for as long as I've known him, hasn't changed his tune - He's a walking dichotomy of absolute stoke and energy and laser like focus to someone who is just as happy on his own, stealthing off on some adventure with no social media no frills, riding a wave of natural energy....He's the kind of guy when you see you just get a big grin - You're either going to see some great surfing or be in for some deep convo of travel, life and stoke...Yeeew Dazzler 

MAURICE COLE Vote 1

For those of you who know who Maurice is, he really need no introduction - Alas if you dont, Maurice is a family man, a environmentalist, world famous surfboard shaper and Victorian champion surfer and had it not been for a long stint in Pentridge Prison in 1970's he may have been a world title holder, His Career and life sometimes seem like a Hollywood script. 
I know there has been a lot of requests to get Maurice in for part 2, he's had a wild last year --- This isn't part 2 this is Vote 1.
Maurice is running for Surf Coast shire council and he needs your vote, if we are to make a difference down here at bridging the gap between a disconnected Shire and council and people.
